There are plenty of diverse, fun activities for all age groups and interests happening in and around Inverloch making it a great holiday destination this summer. First, find yourself the appropriate Inverloch accommodation for your particular requirements be it a couple, family or small group of friends. Inverloch offers anything from weekly house-lets and apartments, through foreshore caravan parks to family motels situated in the main street, the closer to town the better.

An abundance of thing to do

When I first settled in Inverloch the main attraction was the coastline, stunning landscape and family friendly beaches from Andersons Inlet and the Inverloch surf beach offering all types of water activities from wading areas for the toddlers to some of South Gippslands best surfing and lets not forget the world standard Kiteboarding.  But I soon realised that Inverloch has so much more to offer as a holiday destination. For the sporting minded, as well as the obvious water activities and fishing options whether its off the end of the pier or a fully chartered experience, there’s the public golf courses,  some of Victorias best, play one one week and another the next. You may prefer the go-carts at the world class Phillip Island Race Circuit or the Woolamai Picnic Race Meeting. Inverloch also offers the Inverloch Park Run, an organised timed foreshore event happening weekly every Saturday.

If you would prefer something a bit more leisurely you could take in the sights on day trips to Wilsons Prom, Bunurong Marine Park, ChurchHill and French Island’s, Kilcunda Trestle Bridge, Wonthaggi Coal Mine and Wind Farm, the list goes on. If that all seems to strenuous there are the ever popular Local Markets, Antiques shops, Art Galleries and the increasing number of Wineries and local produce such as cheese, chocolate, olive oil etc. The Kilcunda Lobster Festival in late January is always very popular.

Your nights are easily filled in in Inverloch, with a variety of dinner options from family friendly hotel meals and an array of takeaway options to some of the best Restaurants and Cafes from a selection of cultures and cuisines that Victoria has to offer, or you may prefer to stay back at the motel for a simple BBQ, you really are spoilt for choice. Finish off with a night walk along the beach or a quick dip in the pool or spa for the kids and where else would you rather be.
So there you have it, I’m sure I have probably missed a few but there is plenty on offer for everyone, its all a matter of planning, set an itinerary that accommodates everyone’s individual interest and you will all have an enjoyable and memorable holiday.
Remember, it all starts with the right accommodation option and location for your particular needs.
Enjoy…
